Terms of use

Plain-language terms for a free service. By using the site you agree to them.

Last updated: 2026-09-30

1. The service

CallMePDF.com provides free online tools to create, convert, edit and organise documents. No account is required. We may change, add or remove tools at any time.

2. Acceptable use

  • Only process files you have the right to use.
  • Don’t use Unlock PDF or similar tools to remove protection from documents you’re not authorised to access.
  • Don’t attempt to disrupt, overload, probe or bypass the limits and security of the service, or use automated scripts to generate excessive load.
  • Don’t use URL to PDF to reach systems you aren’t permitted to access.

3. Prohibited content

Don’t upload malware, content that sexualises minors, content that infringes others’ rights, or anything illegal where you or we operate. We may block abusive traffic and report illegal content to the authorities.

4. Your files

You keep all rights to your files. We only process them to provide the tool you chose, and delete them as described in the privacy policy.

5. Limits and availability

To keep the service free and fast, technical limits apply (such as maximum file size and processing time). The service is provided on a best-effort basis and may occasionally be unavailable.

6. Conversion quality

Document conversion is not always perfect. Fonts may be substituted, layouts may shift and some features of a file may not carry over. Tools with known limitations say so on their page. Always check important results before relying on them.

7. No warranty and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data, business or profit arising from its use. Keep your own copies of important files.

8. Signatures and legal effect

Sign PDF adds a visual electronic signature. It is not a certificate-based digital signature, and whether it’s legally sufficient depends on your document and jurisdiction.

9. Intellectual property

The site’s design and code are ours or our licensors’. Open-source components remain under their own licences — see open-source licenses.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Questions: contact us.

These terms are a starting point and should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before production use.
