Frequently asked questions

Are my scans uploaded?

No. Capturing, cropping and building the PDF all happen on your device. Only if you turn on OCR is the finished PDF sent to our server for text recognition and then deleted.

Is Scan to PDF really free?

Yes. Every tool on this site is free with no sign-up, no watermark and no premium tier. The only limits are technical ones that keep the service fast for everyone.

What happens to my files?

Your files are sent over an encrypted connection, processed in an isolated worker, and deleted automatically within 30 minutes — or immediately when you click “Delete now”. We never share them or use them for training.

Is there a file size limit?

Files up to 100 MB are accepted. This technical limit protects the free service from overload and is the same for everyone.
